That was the first question that I have ever presented to a forum and it went so well that I have another one. I am not really sure how these work and I may be asked to post this somewhere else but here is what I have.
The clients in the network were all XP clients then I upgraded all but 6 of them to windows 7. I made a Windows 7 image that I syspreped copied it to the server and deployed these images to various machines, that by the way are getting wsus updates now. My problem is that there is a re-start script that re-starts all of the desktops and when I added windows 7 to the network none of them will run the script.
An example of the script would be The XP machines are all re-starting but the Windows 7 ones do not. I can run the script manually and the Windows 7 ones will shutdown but they wont do it automated. Do you have any ideas?
Since the command works locally and it should , it's likely an issue with how you've defined the script in the GPO and how the Win7 machines are getting the script. By default, network services are disabled on Win7 machines so it's possible that a reference to a network resource, and the lack of network services to resolve that machine, is causing the command to fail without realizing it's local.
