It started happening over a month ago with the previous version of Live Messenger which is why I upgraded to Upgrading didn't fix the problem and I'm still getting freezes when opening a new conversation window, clicking on the emotes button and sometimes randomly while using the program. At home Messenger works perfectly, but when I connect in my job network the messenger keeps disconnecting all the time, about one minute each disconnection. I searched a lot to know whats the problem, a found a few articles about windows 7 and vista issues with connection MTU settings, is not just MSN that disconect, but if you monitor you pc network, you'll see skype with the same problem, but skype don't open the default window when loses connection, SKype just recconect in background.
But Live Messenger is more scandalous and show a lot of evidence about connection lost. I can say that problem isn't on Messenger because more coworkers uses different versions of Messenger, and they have the same problem, but previous versions don't show a lot of evidence like WLM I adjusted MTU setting on my router and solved the problem for a few days, but now it's happening again, now it disconnects less than before.

I get a similar issue. WLM connects for about 2 or 3 mins and then disconnects and bounces back out to the login page. Never happened before I upgraded to Mark the best replies as answers! Tuesday, October 26, PM.
