How to delete roxio update manager

I even rolled my computer back a couple days when this wasn't happening and it still happens. I even tried opening the Creator Ultimate program and selected 'Check for Updates', but got a message that there were no updates.

How do I get a copy of the Roxio Update Manager disk? Or, how can I shut down this automatic update? Ultimately, I would prefer to remove all Roxio products from my computer permanently. I am not very technical, but can follow instructions pretty good. Go to task manager and shut down any Roxio or Sonic processes. Also, run msconfig and deselect any Roxio or Sonic apps at start up.

I ran into the same thing recently and have read the clean uninstall link that you provided. Since step 1 is where we see the error code: 04C7, are we to assume that skipping step 1 is OK and just proceed with the rest of the instructions? Just want to make sure I do this correctly.

Can you help? For the Sonic software, you want to search for any startup item named sgtray , or that has the words Sonic Update Manager or Update Manager in the path for the command or location.

Also, if you see isuspm or issch , go ahead and uncheck those also as they are culprits for this issue as well. You can also download a Sonic Update Manager hotfix from Roxio itself that could possibly fix your problem.
